I was the first CEO of the Association of Family Therapy and founding director of the London Intercultural Couples Centre.

I was a Visiting Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Bergamo, Italy.

I am a UKCP accredited systemic psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience and the author of four text books and many academic papers.

I was formerly editor of the Journal of Family Therapy and present my research at international conferences and teach cross-cultural therapy and research at universities and training institutions all over the world. I am one of the Associate editors of the Handbook of Systemic Family Therapy, published by Wiley.

I am currently based at the Child and Family Practice in Bloomsbury where I am a director.
